Architectural Graphics

The drawings that carry an architectural argument — exploded axonometrics, competition boards, postcards.

Exploded axonometric diagrams — stacked landscape strata on one side and a coloured children’s play interior pulled apart into layers on the other.

This is the seam the rest of the portfolio runs along: architectural thinking presented as graphic design, by the same hand that did the architecture.

The exploded axonometric diagrams take a multi-layered approach to spatial design. One side works through landscape transformation — topography, water management, ecological integration. The other works through architectural and urban space — public space, interior programming, functional relationships. Pulling the layers apart is what makes the composition legible.

The competition and studio boards were made in the role of the group’s graphic designer during university: large-format sheets that have to hold a masterplan, a programme table, sections and photographs in one readable field.
